In fact, the town is the start of the Camel Trail which is a 28-mile cycling track which is almost completely flat and great for those who prefer a more leisurely cycle. Bodmin Moor also lies close to the north east of the town and is full of rambling walks up the granite tors of this wild landscape. Rough Tor near Camelford is also particularly breathtaking on a clear day and you can even see all the way to the north Cornish coast from this point.
